Campus OWL aims to utilise the potential offered by cooperation between the five state universities in the region - for the universities themselves and for the scientific region of Ostwestfalen-Lippe as a whole. The two universities and the two universities of applied sciences as well as the University of Music have already been cooperating for many years in various constellations in numerous projects. Campus OWL will create further synergy effects, pool expertise and increase visibility. A joint presence for the OWL science region is a great advantage in competition with others. In this way, a joint national and international emphasis can be set. The active cooperation between research, science and art is an expression of the universities' social responsibility, strengthens the region as a whole and benefits the people who live here.
